EDGE HOCKEY TEAM PLAYERS! NOTE: Your Edge Hockey team fees now include all of your DPC Training up until the end of June. For July & August Training, contact Ross McCain for registration, pricing and details.

The Duckett Performance Centre (DPC) is a 10,000 square foot training facility located at the Edge School in Calgary, AB. The strength and conditioning team at the DPC uses a movement based approach to help athletes of all sports and ages reach their strength and conditioning, rehabilitation and movement efficiency goals. Equipped with a metabolic cart and Monark testing bikes, the DPC has the ability to test your cardiovascular fitness (VO2), power output, maximum strength, anthropometric measures and much more, to ensure your training goals are being met.

During the hockey season an athlete’s focus is on practice, games and off-ice maintenance. To both new and returning clients (both Edge and Non-Edge students and athletes), we are happy to provide you with a selection of programming for your 2017 Off-Season Training which focus on the development of speed, power and hockey specific movement and conditioning. Our programs include ice, off-ice and yoga/pilates, as well as an in-house selection of Bio Steel products for purchase.

Bantam Program:

Bantam Players will train 4 times per week (1 workout will be a pilates session) in the evening from April to the end of June. Ice Sessions will run twice a week in the evening from April to the end of May. In addition, ice times will run twice a week during the day in July and three times per week in August. All training will be done onsite at the DPC and Edge School.

Midget/Junior Program:

Midget and Junior Players will train 5 times per week (1 workout will be a pilates session) in the evening from April to the end of June. Ice Sessions will run twice a week in the evening from April to the end of May. In addition, ice times will run twice a week during the day in July and three times per week in August. All training will be done onsite at the DPC and Edge School.

*NCAA, U Sport & Pro Program:

Junior, NCAA, U Sport & Pro Players will train 5 times per week (1 day will include a light workout, followed by a yoga/pilates session).  17 Ice Sessions will run during July & August, slowly increasing from 2, to 3 times per week. All training will be done onsite at the DPC and Edge School.

Facility Information:

All on-ice and off-ice sessions will take place at the Edge School for Athletes. On-ice sessions will be on one of our two arenas (Kyle Stuart & Edge Arena #2), while off ice training will take place in our Duckett Centre for Performance (DPC).
